Cut and carved while soft with a “wiggle wire” and other tools, after firing this porcelain jar looks like something out of the ocean. Zoom in on the photos to see the crusty, carbon-trapped, gold, gray and white , fissured surface that was painted only by fire (no glaze). The interior is glazed in cool gray-white. Wadding at the foot fused to the pot in the flow of ash through the kiln. In every way, this pot is a creature of whim and flame. 3.5” tall x 4.5” diameter.
